The immateur grown up

" Someone who's ready for the zombie apocalypse but not for the next math test!"

At 10 we used to balance our life like a limerick, silly and playful like a nursery rhyme.
Turning thirteen was a grudge,
Out of all the things that went high and low

Out of all the things that went high and low
, sooner or later did I come to know,
That Innocence was the first to go .

The heavy word jostling came it's way,
It was now that I knew it's no more a child's play.

What mattered now was the fat girl getting skinny
Trying to become an artificial barbie from the so called big large winnie.
, (shoving beneath her the disgrace )

What mattered now was my age had 2 digits instead of just one,
I'm still in dilemma if I'm enjoying or just missing out on all the fun.

What mattered was the magic in the world suddenly went away, for I thought the whole world enjoyed it too, but as I grew I changed my view.
What all I saw was just not true but rather done for money!
What mattered was that our actions no more matched our expectations .
Cuz from day one we're told what's expected from us,
Defining ourselves by grades and nos,
Forever believing that we're not good enough.

What mattered is I have ambitions and dreams, that change the world ,spread positivity .
But I fear soon I have to face this very reality .
Ah teenage, what's the worse to come? , depression .
Depression, dug beneath ourselves or portrayed by some.
Depression. a silent film, A monologue
everything blurry touted suite, just as we see it in the winter fog.

I just think we'll never stop playing the game, that it is a total shame for which we're all to blame, just God knows what we've became, to the world it's all the same, put ourselves in just a frame, a frame with labels.

Labels that judge , labels causing the categorical smudge,
Formed by a society I certainly don't believe in much, oh teenage! I can't forget the fear of bad touch.

Oppressed by problems, overwhelmed by fun,
I'm still afraid and kinda excited ,for there's certainly a lot to come.
Turning thirteen was a grudge,
The story ahead? Is your's to judge.

THE SCHOOL'S PRIME!

"A good teacher is like a candle- it consumes itself to light the way for others."

The indebtness towards our teachers will always remain and it's due to them that we are what we are, so here's to all the amazing guides!"

Image result for teachers day

The unmatched counsel, credence and insight;
Showering me with knowledge and enlighted light;
The one who upholds and moulds our life;
You've taught us to aspire and strive.

That transition from ABC to alpha,beeta,gaama;
From being someone to the one;
It all happened whimsically;
Just as a teacher like you guided me through.

Teacher's day is just when I say it aloud;
But quotidian the gratitude remains;
Today,owing to whoever I am;
Happy Teacher's Day to all my teachers out there!

Thank you for everything!

Yoga..a therapy is it?!

International Yoga Day 2019!

The day commences with the chant of 'om';
Sitting inside the so called "yoga dome";
I was told to do the elemental surya namaskar;
God!It needed more flexibility than a flower.
Yoga for fitness and yoga for peace;
In a closed room or out in the open breeze;
It had been just 2-3 aasans that I'd done;
They turned out to be disastrous instead of fun!
I saw myriad people sitting in groups;
All coming from different places and troops;
They gathered together at a 'famous public place';
Trying to be within media's coverage space.
At first I found it weird;
Yoga,as a thing, that people cheered;
But now that it has become a tradition;
To deny it,I'm not in a position.
Meditate,Laugh ,relax and slay;
"Happy international yoga day" ,is what they say.

POETIC TRAUMA

“Poetry is ordinary language raised to the Nth power  boned with ideas,  blooded with emotions, all held together by the delicate, tough skin of words.” — Paul Engle

Writing a poem is a task in itself , and for me it's a way in which I express myself and my thoughts.

Scribbling over words and crossing them out;
The story of every poem sans doubt;
Well! With this one the case was same;
I wrote ample , most of it lame!

The moment I lounge on my thinking chair;
To gain some apprehension , the chance is fair;
But time and again, I drift away;
And with my imagination, my thoughts just sway.

After contemplating for an hour and a half;
To get a satisfactory synonym for the word 'agraffe';
Antipodal, I succumbed to failure I must say;
As I decided to use it exactly the same way!

It's all about words , that turn to sentences;
That pop up a poem , to bring up the fizz;
It can be bitter or even sweet;
But it always turns out to be quite upbeat.

Choosing a topic , right from the scratch;
Also, making each syllable match;
The journey can never be facile;
But at the end ,it's a perplexing feel!

Right from my thinking chair , up to this point;
I've come up , overcoming  most of my fear;
Having put on paper all I had to say;
That's what I know about how words play!

Superhero Alert

'' Batman, superman, spider man…these are now outdated, the new hero in town is the one and only MY DAD. ''

*Birthday post for my father*

He's always my pillar when I knew I'd fall;
Always my anchor, so strong and tall;
His hard face changes only for me;
His softer side, so careless and free.

He's always been a hero to me;

Nothing less than a fairy tale bliss;

But not everyone can see;

How he grants each one of my wish.

You mean a lot to me;

And to that even you'll agree;

The most precious gift from god above;

Is in the form of tons of love.

I'll always remember the laughter we have shared;
They're the ones that Cannot be compared;
Not to forget The tears I have shed;
As you lovingly nodded your head.

You have always been there,
With a comforting hug and a huge smile,

Your decisions are always fair and square;

Even if they're taken from across a mile.
.
The times that I have been down and sad;
Your silly ways could always make me glad;
You gave me strength to carry on;
Even when all hope seemed to be gone.

On this special day;

I wish you all the luck;

May you receive all that you pray;

At last HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

The Spice Story Of India!🌶🌶

"Variety is the very spice of our lives that gives it all it's flavours."

Variety of spices were traded by India right since the maritime silk routes to the present day times and it is these spices ,that add a colour and tadka to make our country authentic..

Passing through the fragrant lanes;
Smells of spices through window panes;
Indian flavours?Oh!You'll find many;
Spices that tantalize, worth every penny..💱

Nurturing from nature,a stoic promise;
Fragrance of flavours in a sensational bliss;
These Indian spices have a story to tell;📖
With a flick of hand;they'll cast a spell..

An ounce of chillies avec a turmeric pound;
Look!What dramatic colours they've found;
And don't forget the star anise;🌟🌟
Pepper's worth fortunes,crossing the seas..

A mortar and a pestle crushing them over;
Just like children under a land rover;🚜
The aroma fleeted throughout the room;
As fast as a bike, Vroom!Vroom!Vroom!

The clove and cardomom family's quite sober;
Binding our country, morover;
These spices had a story to tell;
With a flick of hand, they've casted a spell..

Fairy Fantasies!

"Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale."

I still believe in these inaudible and invisible angels..They're magical🎩

In the meadow,relaxing my mind;
And a rose petal was falling behind;🌹
The butterflies were having fun;
Dancing and jumping with the sun..🌞

Figures dancing in the air;
Fishes looking up to stare;🐠🐠
I wish I could fly;
Looking up towards the sky..

Let's drink tea with dragons;🐉
Oh!Look they're served in flagons;
A fairy queen popped out from on top of a starfish;♛
Fly with me,I'll fulfill your wish..

I thanked the dragon with a tear;😭
Promising him happiness and no fear;
I hope they all cherished;
And like me no one perished..

We lay in the meadow of roses;🌹🌹🌹
I feel like a dream;
The butterflies smile full of fun;
All of them dance in the daffodil sun..🌞🌞

It was a pleasure to see the rainbow;🌈
Hear,a whisper would always flow;
I asked,"Queen of fairies are you granting a wish?"
Or is it a sweet dream driven by a fish?

Is that what you wish for?
Or things you want are galore?
The dream was weeping;
I came to know I was sleeping..💤

Fairy queens and starfish don't swim in the stream;
Sadly this was none other than a dream;
I loved this dream till it had begun;
I'm beloved in this daffodil sun..

THE DICEY DREAM...

''A dream is a wish your heart makes."-Walt Disney

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams...

I just think my dreams are the best;
Just to sit and do fancy things;
No acids in gold;
No snatching on silver rings..

Women all pure and good;
All  fancy men upright and true;
In my solitude;
Let life be a dream to me..

Oh!The dream,proud  and pure;
I've gained the sweet of life;
Golden truths I shall insure;
Without any pain and doubt..

In my paradise;
I would rather be a fool;
Instead of the leader for a school;
Sadly sane and not very wise..

My dreams are as soft as butter;
Or even as hard as wood;
Taken care by none other;
I,m not rather good..

All is golden in my dreams;
To charm my solitude;
With the faith that life's best;
Brave,noble and good..

I end this dream;
With the brightest gleam;
Hope to see another;
Better than any other..

LE SAPIN

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. "

It's not what's under the tree that matters,it's who's gathered around it...🎄🎄

*Home alone 2 inspired poem*

Christmas tree,my christmas tree;
Where are you I find;
When I see my X-mas tree;
A relief strikes my mind.

The beautiful fir tree;
Stands steady and tall;
Just as christmas excites me;
My christmas tree is no more small.

After decorating it with lights and garlands;
I end up with a finishing touch;
The table decorated with prismatic bands;
Oh!My christmas X-mas tree,I love you so much.

It has many gifts underneath it;
But the unselfish tree unlike the man;
Not even a single gift it took from the slit;
Even in such a long time span.

This makes the festival even more special;
Eventhough mine is artificial;
X-mas tree,my christmas tree;
I hope you never part from me.

LAUGHTER: the best medicine!

"Laughter is the firework of the soul."

Laughter is an instant vacati😄n ,Laugh everyday to live every moment...

Laughter is an antidote;
To the deadly poison of stress;
The most contagious emotion,is in this mode;
Just perfect for creating a mess.

A giggle,a chuckle,a cackle,a cockle;
Can be horrifying when a teacher's there;
But laughter can't be buried like a fossil;
Oh!Dear teacher this isn't fair...

The not so real fake laughter;
Can be seen on everyone's face;
But the real one that follows after;
Is just like a never solved maze.

Laugh out loud,none to lend;
But a laugh at a serious moment;
No happiness my dear;
Just problem and a reason to fear.

Laughter is an antidote;
\To the deadly poison of stress;
 Watch out for this contagious emotion;
Before making a mess..

The Hindustani Torchbearer

They look ordinary... They lace up the same...But it's not the boots that matter

 Its my  soldier in the  boots,  That means the world to me

                         Dear Soldiers, I start with a plight, to support all of you in every fight.

I see you standing among them all,
All so proud, strong and tall;
The whole world sleeps;
But it's you, peace who keeps.

The world looks forward to you
But doesn't see;
All work you do;
Is to keep us free.

Your life you sacrifice;
Oh! of you it's so nice;
The enemies you fight;
Even in the time of every dim light.

For you it's always country first ,
You don't even dare to quench your thirst;
Standing tough at the border;
Even if it's days , since you've eaten fodder.

Our love for you will always flow,
Even if it's a thing which we never show,
To the country's safety moulders,
I SALUTE OUR SOLDIERS!!!

Getting Lost In A Book...

"That moment when you're reading a book is the moment when the whole world around you does not exist any more."

Generally getting lost isn't a pleasure and leads you to the wrong direction but getting lost in a book gives you all the pleasure you can have and always leads you to the right direction..

There are so many mysteries to unfold;
Before all the secrets are told;
Clutch the book tight to your chest;📖
See the bird,it's dozing in it's nest.

Dreaming of heavy thunders;
With Alice unfold all the wonders;
You have a vast world to explore;
To build the castle on the sea shore.🏰

All evils and witches you have to greet;
With Hogwarts coming for a treat;
Under the cozy blankets you lay;
And spend  the nature's beauty,all today.

Swords are waiting with the shields;
Hoping to see your appearance on the fields;
I've got a room full of treasure;
To spend a time full of leisure.

The feeling of getting lost in a book;
Is really beyond compare;
Don't think which book you took;
Just try if you dare.

You can meet a knight;
Who slays a mighty beast;
Or even a dragon;🐉
Searching furiously for a feast.

A witch that turns all to frogs;🐸🐸
Or Rapunzel in deep stress;
A magical spell;
Or a very serious meeting.

Finding your own enjoyable stories;
They're  things you'll get lost in;
Some might be boring some not;
Enjoy them till the dead end is here;
Or your reading deadline is near.

IRONICALLY CORRUPTION

''It's not the power that corrupts the people , but the people who corrupt their power.''

India as a country is not totally corruption free but the present day youth has to take a responsibility of challenging the corruption in the future.

When we think,
 About any political tension,
The first thing in our mind',
Is always CORRUPTION,

This epidemical curse,
Spreads in the whole political arena,
Huh!Tried a lot to remove it,
But lost the stamina.

Are we coward?
Are we shy?
Do we care somehow,
Or just don't want to try?

The corruption helps,
To set culprits free,
Blinding the law,
Still quietly we sit and see.

It widens the gap,
Of poor and rich,
Still we continue the same,
Without any hitch.

Money is a virus,
It spreads fatally,
Everyone's stuck in it,
 Without any objection.

This deadly virus is everywhere,
And I truly think this is very unfair,
Come on lets make a difference,
Take a step, to curse it's existence.

The soulful reflection

"If you're searching for a person who'll change your life, look at the mirror.''

The mirror shows you the reflection of your life if you smile at it , it smiles back at you.

Mirror,mirror by the sink;
Tell me what you truly think;
Am I fat or am I thin?
Will I lose or surely win?

Am I short or perhaps too tall?
Are my ears a bit too small?
Is my nose exactly right?
Or it's more than oversize?

Like the snowhite's witch;
I don't want you to lie;
To tell me I'm beautiful;
And then sob,weep and cry.

Mirror,mirror by the sink;
Tell me what you truly think;
Am I weak or super strong?
Are my hair too short,or long?

Am I smart or rather dumb?
Or can you guess what I'll become;
Will I fly with colours many?
Or wont be able to achieve any?

Am I nerdy?Am I cool?
Would you rather call me a fool?
Am I happy?Am I sad?
Do you feel I'm good or bad?

I believe on you,
Tell me what you truly think;
Am I great?or do I stink?
Mirror , mirror by the sink.

La conservation d'eau

We never know the worth of water until the well runs dry, In this century for a single drop each one will cry.

Water is such a resource that is ending rapidly. Each one of us should make it our responsibility to create awareness for saving water.

The leaky tap drips day and night;🌞🌙
Fix it right or shut it tight;
It seems this earth has water abound;
But each drop really does count.💧

With the poor tap on;
You brush your teeth;
The water flows;
You soap your feet.

Think of the water lost;
To close the tap;
Does it cost?

The water bottle you take to school;🍶
Is always nice, full and cool;
A bit you drink, and rest you throw;
But it could help, a very healthy plant to grow.🌳

Save water;
Do your part;
It's not a game;🎲
Let it always last..

Tactful Aim

A soul without a high aim , is like a ship without a rudder.

We all should have a high and prominent aim so that it drives us to the right destination.

Your jolly aim ;
Is all yours to tame;
Make it full of fame;
Or do you prefer,making it lame?

I wanted to be a pilot when I was small;
My sister says''I'm the best cook of all'';
But when we grow up does it remain the same?
If yes, whose?Give me that name.

When we're in kindergarten;
About every profession we were keen;
But,It all changes;
Once we become a teen.

I was once a police inspector;
Now am known to be an acid-base detector;
Aims keep on developing with time;
Striking your mind like the noise of wind chime.

Your dream and aim;
Is all yours to tame;
Time and tide wait for none;
In this Malthusian world with very high aims;
Come on everybody let us run.

When some one's tiny and makes an aim;
it's just like crossing an obstacle in a game;
No,this isn't a joke anymore;
When tall and high you grow.

Oh!Protect your aim;
With the river it'll flow;
If chasing it everywhere;
You won't go.

Your jolly aim;
Is all yours to tame;
I'll make it full of fame;
And you, is your preference making it lame?
